So, it is better that all people, especially youths, know CPR. The aim of this study is to evaluate the influence of CPR education by role playing and video type on knowledge and skills of high school students. Method: A semi-experimental study was done in Isfahan high schools by cluster sampling in 2014. Sixty four students randomly divided in video type or role playing group (32 in each group). Data was gathered by demographic checklist, as well as a knowledge test CPR. The skills of students were evaluated via doing the CPR procedure on mullage and data was analyzed by . SPSS-20. Results: The results demonstrated that mean scores for both knowledge and skills were increased in both video type and role playing groups after education (p<0.001). Furthermore, the knowledge and skills scores were higher in video type than role playing group (p<0.001). Conclusion: This survey showed that CPR education by video type or role playing leads to student’s knowledge and skills promotion; video education was superior to role playing method.
