The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of education on lifestyle modification through e-learning on self-management of diabetic patients Method: This quasi-experimental study was performed in 88 patients (46 males and 42 males) who were divided into two groups of 44, intervention and control groups. Sampling was based on purposeful method and then divided into two groups by simple random allocation method. The content of the training was adjusted according to the required measurement in 71 E-learning short message, which were sent two or three times a day via the telegram to the participants. The research tools was a demographic questionnaire, Walker Health Promotion Lifestyle Standard Questionnaire, Diabetes Self-Management Instrument (DSMI).. Kolmogorov-Smirnov, T-test, paired t-test and Mann-Whitney test were used for data analysis with a significant level of 0.05. Results: There was no significant difference between life style (P = 0.163) and diabetes self-management (P= 0.275) before intervention but after intervention this difference was significant between lifestyle (P = 0.002) and self-management (P = 0.003) except for self-efficacy. Conclusion: Lifestyle modification through e-learning improves the self-management of diabetic patients, so planning for patients with diabetes at a wider level and other chronic patients is recommended. }, URL = {http://jne.ir/article-1-896-en.html}, eprint = {http://jne.ir/article-1-896-en.pdf}, journal = {2 Journal of Nursing Education}, doi = {}, year = {2018} }
