Quality of Life and Demographic Characteristics in Nurses of hospitals of Kashmar in 2018: Cross sectional study

Background: The quality of nurses' services is directly related to the effectiveness of health services. Therefore, nurses as the most important health Provider group, they should have high quality of life in order to improve the quality of medical services. The aim of this study was to determine the quality of life of nurses working in hospitals in Kashmar in 2018.
Methods: This descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted on 230 nurses working in hospitals in Kashmar who were selected through a total number of sampling. The data were completed by qualified nurses using a demographic questionnaire and quality of life questionnaire. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 16 and analyzed by descriptive and statistics analytical.
Results: The mean score of nurses' quality of life was 11.55 ± 65.39 and level of quality of life of nurses was moderate. Only 17 percent of nurses had high quality of life. The highest score among the four dimensions of quality of life is related to the physical dimension. Also, nurses in the administrative department and headquarters have the highest score in quality of life. Sexuality, employment type, ,Attending the post, the most type of working shift, nursing interest, daily working hours and hours of monthly study are effective in quality of life.
Conclusion: It seems that paying attention to the needs and desires of nurses and correcting their problems, according to their opinions, is very important in the efficiency of hospitals. Therefore, planning should focus on the factors affecting the quality of life of nurses, including their demographic characteristics.
