Nursing students' satisfaction of the breast feeding educational package: A computer-based education

Introduction: Implementation and evaluation of new educational methods are essential to both improve nursing students' satisfaction and quality of nursing education program. Computer-based education has been shown to have both limitations and advantages in different studies. The aim of study was to assess nursing students' satisfaction of the breast feeding educational package presented using computer-based education.
Method: An experimental study using a pre-post design was conducted with 38 nursing students in the eighth semester of nursing program. The data was gathered using the questionnaire of satisfaction of the educational package. The data was analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.
Results: The students were satisfied with the educational package. About 67.2%, of the students were always or often were satisfied with the educational package. 82.35% and 96.45% of them most often and always were satisfied with the educational package content and its user-friendliness, respectively. Generally, 82% of the students were most often and always satisfied with the educational package.
Conclusion: The computer-based education can improve the satisfaction of students during clinical education. It is recommended to increase the application of this package in nursing education. |
