Introduction: Cardiopulmonary resuscitation is a critical process to save patients’ lives. The ability to perform resuscitation requires theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Nowadays, for improving the quality of teaching CPR، different methods have been used. The aim of this study was to design simulation software and survey the effect of this software on the satisfaction of operating room and medical emergency students in Tehran University of Medical Sciences
Methods: Use of Case diagrams, sequential diagrams and activity diagrams were described in the Uniform Modeling Language to better understand entities and the sequence of mentioned software’s operations. According to this, Software was designed in Adobe Flash and Photoshop, Maryam, Poser pro and 3DMax Softwares. Finally the software was evaluated after assessment of students' satisfaction.
Results: Based on researcher’s studies, 7 scenarios for training and 10 scenarios for test part were considered and in general 10 use case diagrams, 12 sequence diagrams and 9 activity diagrams were drawn. Also the results showed that students’ mean satisfaction of the software was located in top condition (3.8).
Conclusion: In addition to traditional lecture methods for clinical contents, we used CPR educational simulation software. Our study showed that the level of students' knowledge improved and many of the shortcomings on lectures and hospital presence was resolved. |
