Survey the relationship between lifestyle and academic achievement motivation in students of Ferdows Paramedical and Health School of Birjand university of medical sciences

Introduction: choosing the right lifestyle in students, can lead to motivate achievement, maintain and improve health and prevent diseases. The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between lifestyle and the achievement motivation from the viewpoint of students in 2016.
Method: In this descriptive correlational study, 142 students of Ferdows Paramedical School were randomly selected in 2016 year. To collect data, three questionare contains :personal factors, walker style of life and Hermann's motivation development were used..Data were analyzed using SPSS version 19 and Descriptive statistics (Abundance, mean and standard deviation) and Inferential statistics) Independent T tests, One-way analysis of variance and Pearson Correlation Coefficient) .
Result: mean of lifestyle and achievement motivation, respectively was 135/2 ± 18/3 and 81/6 ± 7/2 Both of which were mediocre. There was a positive and significant correlation between lifestyle and achievement motivation (r=0.22 , p<0.05). the mean score of lifestyle in different educational groups is significant(p=0.01(.
Conclusion: The results indicated a positive and significant relationship between lifestyle and the achievement motivation . As the results indicate that the score of lifestyle and the progress motivation is moderate, broader plans should be made to promote lifestyle and strengthen the factors affecting it. |
