of Hazrat Fatima Hospital in Tehran were selected by census method and randomly divided into
two groups of video and group training. Data collection instrument was a questionnaire to assess
the knowledge and performance checklist to evaluate nurses' and researchers’ performance before
and after the training. Data were analyzed using SPSS software version 19, paired sample T test and
independent t-tests.
Results: The levels of awareness in the training group before and after the training were 17.20 ±
1.75 and 18.16 ± 1.14 and in the video training group it was 17.07 ± 1.48 and 17.93 ± 1.45,
respectively. The performance of the training group before and after the training was 77.89 ± 9.36
and 81.69 ± 8.41 and in the video training group it was 74.47 ± 10.79 and 80.33 ± 9.36, respectively.
The results of both groups was better after the training (P < 0.001).

according to numerous advantages of video training including affordability and ability to watch
videos at any time and place and etc., using this method in the training programs is recommended
